Blessed 2013!

Thank you Lord for a new year ...

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become. 1 Corinthians 5:17 KJV   or the NIV version:  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is.

... your granddaughter grabs your hand & says "c'mon Nana" and leads you to her room, grabs a toy & pats the floor next to her saying "Nana" -OK lets play! PRICELESS!

And when you open the refrigerator she sits in it and smiles, like it is a perfectly normal thing to do!

My challenge for 2013 is to accomplish what I set out to do, but not to over-commit and then get frustrated.  The usual goal is to get more organized - will it ever happen?  I'll let you know next year! LOL!  And then there is read more - esp. my Bible - diet, exercise, paint, scrapbook, etc...etc...etc...  Overcommitted already!  I have started a daily gratitude journal - just one thing I am grateful for every day - hope I keep that commitment!  so far, so good...

Here is why I am so-o-o-o-o-o  blessed ....

2012 in review

The rest of 2012 in review:  time to catch up on my blogging & try to keep things up to date:

Vince and Lilly:  My Favorite Picture of the 2 of them:

At Easter we took a trip to visit my brother Tom and his wife Joy.  We rented an RV to hold us all and off we went:

Vince took a trip to New York. Here he is in Time Square with the Mario Brothers!

Lilly's 1st Birthday:

Vince was in 3 weddings:

Aaron Johnson to Julie
His brother Joe's to Natalia
and
Chris Bergquist to Stephanie

Ken and Sarah took us to a White Sox game - Dad's favorite thing to do!

and the event of the year:
Joe's marriage to Natalia!

Lilly at Royal Oaks Farm for some Fall Fun:

Lilly learning piano:
 Lilly loves Elmo!
Thanksgiving Wishes from Lilly:

Bunco Babes Christmas Party

Trimming the Tree:
This was my Mom's favorite tree "The Pencil Tree" because it takes up less space.  Dad doesn't use it anymore, so I started using it last year - it does leave much more space - especially for Lilly's presents!

Joe was 25 on December 20th!

Tom and Joy sent some beautiful tangerines from their tree!  DELICIOUS!

AND I finally finished Lilly's Christmas stocking - in the tradition of my Mom, Jean!  One certainly appreciates all of the time and effort that goes into a handmade stocking!  I think Mom would have been happy to see that I have kept up her tradition ........

Our best wishes for a blessed year in 2013
