Well, it has been ages since I posted. School started and I got so busy right away with all of the new changes for accreditation , cheerleading, cooking class, nursing duties, recuperation, etc.... that I never was up to much but making dinner and going to bed!! With our new football team, cheerleading starts in the summer, so that also keeps me going. My new left knee was still adjusting to going back to work! In September my dear mother-in-law went home to glory and I spent time making a DVD for the Memorial Service. The picture is one I found of Ken's mom when she was young. We miss her greatly. Thanks to all who came out for the service - what a great remembrance of a wonderful mother!
I did take some pictures, but gave it up after awhile when I realized it would be too hard to keep up with this project. Maybe next year. Instead, I plan to think up a new name for my blog and keep up with it as I can.
The winter season was packed with cheerleading (it is like adopting 16 teenage girls!), cooking class, and getting ready for Christmas and my second knee replacement December 15th! Unfortunately I found out that the out-of-pocket was huge and not wanting to incur that again after Kenny's wedding, we decided it would be best to get it done before the end of the year. Recuperation was definitely more difficult in the cold, damp winter weather and going back to work after only 3 weeks. For a while I was stuck at 100 degrees flexion and it took 3 weeks to get to 110! Therapy is moving along now, though, and I am looking forward to spring and hopefully some nice long walk with my hubby. We got a little taste of it this past week and then BAM - SNOW today! On the first day of spring - how is that for a slap in the mouth! Ce la vie! Ken hid my poor little crocuses under a box - they were so beautiful yesterday - hope they make it ... my daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths are all up and trying to weather through an inch of snow, too.
Happy Birthday to my brother Tom & his wife Joy - so neat to share a birthday, especially with your soul mate! Love you both and can't wait to see you in June! Said a prayer for you today and am so thankful for you both...you are loved! "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
