Spring has Come

Spring has come. My favorite season...one of my fondest memories from younger years was listening to the spring rain from my room on Locust Street with the lovely smell of lilacs in bloom coming in through the open window.  Whenever I smell lilacs it brings me back to that memory.  
Here is our house in the spring - beautiful crab apple trees in bloom.  My other favs are the tulips, daffodils, hyacinth blooming in the garden - so pretty.


 The other reason I love the spring is Easter - the Resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Resurrection is celebrated at a this beautiful time of birth and renewal.  Hosting the family for Easter dinner is one of my favorite times - lamb, ham, asparagus, pretzel salad, Easter bread - yum!  And the traditional lamb cake and cross cake.  Here are some pics from this year's celebration:
